The day, step by step
Pickup in Marrakech
Around 8:00 at your hotel entrance, or at the medina gate closest to your riad. We confirm the exact time and place the day before.
Drive to the Ouzoud Waterfalls
About three hours north-east towards Azilal Province, with breaks when you need them. The day is planned around your group, so the timing can flex.
Your private guide meets you
At Ouzoud, a local guide for your group alone walks you to the upper viewpoints first, for the full view of the three tiers before going down.
Walk down, mills and macaques
The guide takes you along the paths to the foot of the falls, past the old mills and the olive groves, and shows you where to watch the macaques without disturbing them.
Boat ride under the spray
At the bottom, the boat ride is already arranged. The small raft takes you close to the base of the falls, then back to the bank.
Lunch at a selected restaurant
Lunch is served at a selected restaurant by the falls. Dietary needs you told us about at booking are passed on.
Return to Marrakech
After a slow climb back, by the other bank if you like, the driver takes you back to Marrakech for the early evening.
The premium private day, in brief
The premium private day is the version of our Ouzoud trip where everything is arranged in advance. A private vehicle and driver collect you in Marrakech around 8:00. At the Ouzoud Waterfalls, a local guide for your group only walks you to the viewpoints and the foot of the falls. The boat ride is booked, and lunch is waiting at a selected restaurant by the falls. You agree one total price before you pay, and on the day you only think about drinks and tips.
What "premium" means here, honestly
We use the word with a precise meaning, because it is often used loosely.

The vehicle is the same as on all our trips: a 7-seat minivan for 1 to 7 people or a 17-seat minibus for 8 to 17. What changes is how much is already done for you, and how relaxed the day feels.
Why choose the all-included day
At Ouzoud, the small decisions add up: which path to take, whether to trust the person offering a boat, which terrace to pick for lunch, how long to wait for a table. None of it is difficult, but on a day trip every half hour counts. On the premium day, those decisions are taken before you arrive.
It works well for:
- Couples who want a slow, well-paced day without negotiating on site.
- Families who prefer a fixed plan, with a guide who adapts to the children.
- Groups celebrating something, who want everyone fed and on the boat without logistics.
- Travellers with little time in Marrakech who want the full Ouzoud experience in one day.
The guide, the boat and the lunch
The guide. A local guide meets your group on arrival and stays with you for the visit. Unlike a shared walk, the pace and the route are yours: the upper viewpoints first for the full 110 m drop, then down past the mills to the foot of the falls, and back up by the opposite bank if you have the energy. The guide also helps you watch the Barbary macaques responsibly. They are an endangered species, and research at Ouzoud links feeding by visitors to stress and aggression, so we never feed them. The boat ride. Small rafts take visitors across the pool at the base of the falls, close enough to feel the spray. It is short and calm, and one of the highlights of the visit.
The lunch. Lunch is at a selected restaurant by the falls. Expect Moroccan dishes such as tajine. Tell us your dietary needs when you book and we pass them on. More details on our boat and lunch page.

Lunch, the boat ride and the guide are already paid for in your total, so you do not need cash for them on the day.
Premium for families and larger groups
The premium day works for any group size we carry: a 7-seat minivan for up to 7 people or a 17-seat minibus for up to 17. For families, the main benefit is calm: children do not wait while adults negotiate, lunch is planned, and the guide adapts the walk to small legs. For groups of friends, it means one plan for everyone and no splitting of bills at the restaurant, since the meal is included. Tell us the ages of children and any dietary needs when you book so we can pass them on.
A day built around you
The timings on this page are indicative. Because nothing has to be negotiated on site, the day can stretch where you enjoy it: a longer lunch, a second viewpoint, a slower climb. We agree the outline with you when you book and confirm pickup time the day before.
If something matters to you, say so in your request: an early start to beat the busiest hours, a longer stop at the upper viewpoints for photos, or a slower climb for an older relative. We will tell you what fits in the day and confirm it in writing, so there are no misunderstandings on site.
Price and payment
The premium day is priced per vehicle, for your whole group, with the guide, the boat ride and lunch included. The total depends mainly on the number of travellers. We send it in writing before any payment.
To confirm, you pay a 50% deposit online by PayPal or bank card through PayPal. The balance is paid in cash to the driver on the day. Cancellation is free up to 48 hours before the trip, deposit refunded in full. If you only want part of the package, compare with the private Ouzoud tour or the private driver.

What does premium mean on this trip?

Both include the private vehicle and a local guide at the falls. On the private Ouzoud tour, the boat ride and lunch are options. On the premium day they are included, the guide stays with your group only, and the day has more room for slow moments. If you would add both options anyway, premium is the simpler choice.
What is included in the lunch?
Lunch is a meal at a selected restaurant by the falls, usually Moroccan dishes such as tajine. Drinks are not included. Tell us about dietary needs, for example vegetarian meals or allergies, when you book: we pass them on to the restaurant, and we will tell you honestly if something is hard to arrange.
Is the boat ride safe for children?
The boat is a small raft that moves slowly in the pool at the foot of the falls, close to the spray. Children usually enjoy it. Tell us their ages when you book so the guide can plan the day. If a child does not want to go on the water, the guide can adapt the visit without any problem.
Do we have more time at the falls on the premium day?
The day is built with fewer constraints. Since the boat and lunch are booked in advance, you do not spend time negotiating on site, and the guide can adjust the order of the visit. Expect about three to four hours on site, with some flexibility that we agree with you when you book.
